Terms of Service
Konvra develops and operates these document tools. These terms govern the public website and its tools. Review them together with the Privacy Policy before using the service.
Service access and fees
The current public tools are available without an account or tool fee. No account-backed team workspace, payment service, subscription, or permanent document library is provided. These terms do not create an entitlement to future features. Any future paid offering must disclose its price and conditions before purchase. Use the tools only if you accept these terms.
Eligibility and authority
You must be legally able to accept these terms, or use local tools with the authorization required by applicable law. Cloud AI and OCR features are intended for users aged 18 or older. If you act for an organization, you must be authorized to process its documents and approve any external processing.
Your documents and permissions
You retain your existing rights in your files, text, and other input. Konvra does not acquire ownership of your documents. You authorize only the processing, temporary handling, and transmission needed for the operation you request, including disclosed service providers when you choose cloud processing. This is not permission to publish your documents, sell them, or train Konvra models on them. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for the content and people concerned.
Acceptable use
Do not process unlawful content, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, evade security or usage controls, or deliberately overload the service. Use unlocking only when you are authorized to access and change the document and have the necessary password or permissions. Do not use removal, annotation, or signature features to falsify records, impersonate someone, or misrepresent ownership or approval. Konvra may restrict requests that breach these terms or threaten service security.
Local and cloud processing
On-device tools process document content in your browser, including local OCR, forms, visual signatures, and raster redaction; limited operational events still reach Konvra. Native conversion, encryption, unlocking, repair, compression, and verification tools upload the chosen document to Konvra only after their separate server-processing confirmation. The native worker blocks Internet access and depends on available deployment capabilities. Hybrid OCR or vision can upload page batches after cloud confirmation. Summaries, document questions, translation, and structured extraction send text and task information to configured AI providers after AI confirmation. Remembered AI or OCR confirmation may apply to later jobs until changed. Review each disclosure and the Privacy Policy before processing confidential or regulated content.
Output accuracy and verification limits
Conversion, compression, OCR, extraction, and AI output can omit content, change formatting, introduce errors, or reduce quality. Editable DOCX conversion attempts to reconstruct text and layout; complex columns, tables, fonts, figures, and pagination may change. HTML and table exports recover existing text; image-slide PowerPoint output is visually preserved but its text and shapes are not independently editable. AI answers, translations, extracted fields, and summaries are assistance, not authoritative records or professional advice; verify source passages and values.
Visual signatures are drawn or uploaded marks, not certificate-based digital signatures or identity verification. Available signature verification checks cryptographic integrity offline; certificate trust and revocation are not checked, and a technical report does not establish identity or legal validity. Metadata inspection and tagging indicators are not full accessibility certification. PDF/A conversion and validation require an available independent validator; the report concerns the selected profile, not a guarantee of legal acceptance, archival durability, or preservation services. Verify every result before relying on it. Rights in results remain subject to source rights, third-party rights, law, and provider terms.
Keep originals and verify changes
Keep a separate original and download needed results before leaving the page. There is no permanent recovery library. Editing a signed PDF may invalidate existing signatures; some native operations reject signed input. Cropping, watermarking, covering text, flattening, and metadata removal alone are not content redaction. The dedicated Redact PDF and Sanitize PDF tools rebuild every page as an image and discard original text, objects, forms, links, attachments, and metadata. Redaction burns selected areas into image pixels; unmarked visible content remains. Review every page and all selected regions before sharing. Image-only rebuilding loses searchability and interactivity; adding OCR later can recover text that remains visible. Password protection and authorized unlocking are provided only when the server capability is available and require server-processing confirmation.
Availability and processing limits
Availability depends on browser resources, document complexity, provider capacity, and installed server engines. Native server jobs accept one file up to 25 MB and 120 pages, limit output to 50 MB and execution to two minutes, allow two concurrent jobs per server process, and apply eight requests per minute per network-derived identifier. Other tools have their own displayed limits, including selected-page limits for OCR or image exports. These ceilings are not guarantees that every smaller document will succeed. Unsupported, encrypted, damaged, or unsafe content may be rejected. Requests may be rate limited, cancelled, or suspended for security, maintenance, or service budgets. No uptime or completion-time commitment is made.
Developer and intellectual property
Konvra develops the service and owns copyright in its original software, interface, design, and site copy. The Konvra name and original brand materials remain Konvra’s property. User documents remain user-owned. Third-party libraries, engines, fonts, and assets retain their owners’ rights and licenses; Konvra attribution does not replace required notices or source-availability obligations. Using the tools grants access to the service, not ownership of Konvra or third-party materials. Applicable open-source licenses and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
Service warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and as is, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, suitability for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This provision does not remove mandatory consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Konvra excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, profit, opportunity, or data arising from use of the service. No exclusion applies to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including fraud, protected consumer claims, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. These terms do not impose a liability cap based on fees you have not paid or waive mandatory rights.
Applicable law and statutory rights
Applicable law determines your mandatory rights and the competent courts. These terms do not impose a specific governing jurisdiction, compulsory arbitration, or a waiver of collective or consumer remedies. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply only to the extent lawful.
Updates and self-service guidance
The date above identifies this version. Updated terms will be published here and apply to future use to the extent permitted by law; they do not retroactively remove accrued rights. Review the terms before using a changed feature. The Help Center provides self-service guidance. Konvra does not currently publish an email address, telephone number, or individual support request form.
